It's worse than that. In my recent discussion/argument with RMS over the 
meaning of free, a tangent arose about code quality. When presented with 
the direct question of ideology vs. programs that actually work, RMS was 
vehement that the ideology was more important. It's no longer any wonder 
to me why software under the GNU umbrella has been of increasingly 
inferior quality relative to the rest of the world.
