[Discuss] The next Linux desktop



[The first of a series of posts on Linux desktops.]

We've discussed the idea of using Mint as an alternative to Ubuntu here
before, but how many of you have actually done that?

The "Open Source" LinkedIn group ran a poll on what OS its members are
using on their desktops:

With about 500 votes, the results are:
33% Ubuntu
26% Windows
20% Other Linux
13% Mac
 5% Linux Mint


So Mint still has a ways to go to catch up.
