Splunk is ok if you don't have hundreds of servers.  We tried their 30 
day eval on 1 webserver and 1 app server from our cluster.  We 
generated over 50GB of logs daily, which put us over their highest 
plan.  If we wanted to use this with all the servers in our cluster it 
was going to be way out of our price league.
