zip drives and linux?

I am running a ZIP drive with an Adaptec 1542CF card.

Upon booting. the bios info reads; AHA-1540/1542CF Bios v2.10

Are you using a different bios?

BTW: It works fine with Linux, MSDOS _with the Iomega suppiled driver_,
and Windows 3.10.
