I've just switched to a new RCN plan, and the promo period is 2 years.
They claim it's not a promo price, but that I was stuck on an old rate
schedule; I'm now at $120 with a claimed 20MBPS and DVR on the cable
box. Or at least I will be, on Tuesday.

Over all, I've been happy with the service. The TV has been the weak
link, but they've been responsive to calls on problems.

When they installed, they hooked into the house's twisted pair. They
split the wire signal three ways. One goes to the phone system, one to
the TV, and one to the modem, which is apparently ONLY used for internet.
