large text file change

"...OO will present you with the option of specifying a custom delimiter..."  i see that option in ace$$ but not base.  in the version of openoffice i'm using there seems to be a set of options, no custom.  maybe i'm not seeing it.  thanks for the tip, maybe they're using '~' for a reason eh?

thanks for the tips on ways to change the large text file!.  it send me googling in all sorts of directions.
