[Discuss] Torrent of new spam

It's a never ending battle with spam.
I let Google read my mail in exchange for great spam filtering and
sometimes help unsubscribing.
I know that's not acceptable for everyone, but it is a good business model.
I get email and spam filters among other services and they make ad revenue.
Win win

The way I battle it manually is to look for the worst offenders sending the
most frequent mail.
Usually you see the pattern of sender or group of senders that are likely
using the same list.
I unsubscribe using the link they must provide (usually in small print near
the bottom) from one or two from that sender or group to get off that list
and bulk delete the rest.
Repeat for a few days.
I find his technique quickly knocks down the influx to a manageable level
without too much time invested.
