[Discuss] deadmanish login?

On password safes, and why manual is maybe better...

A twist on how you make backups of your passwords: If you have a spouse,
on the day you might be run over by a beer truck, do you want your
spouse to have access to your accounts? If so, how does that happen? And
whatever provisions you might make for that (leave a key under the
mat?), do they reduce the security of your larger all-eggs-in-one-basket
password scheme?

This might be another vote for a boring "write them down" approach: Your
spouse has already kinda figured out your handwriting, tell him/er where
your backup is kept, and explain the obfuscation you used when writing
down each password. Done. Now your grief stricken survivor maybe doesn't
have to wait for probate is done to pay the light bill.
