Summary

A Multi-Tasking Real-Time Operating System at Your Fingertips

Abstract

Zigurd will kickoff the meeting sharing perspectives on the evolution of
sensor networks and ?The Internet of Things?. He'll trace
order-of-magnitude-technological-advances from the IBM PC thru the
Mobile Era leading to the billions of sensing devices all around us.

Brian will demo sensor-based applications developed using Energia MT.
This free, easy-to-use software development platform integrates TI-RTOS
(on Linux, Macintosh and Windows) bringing real-time multi-tasking to
IoT. We'll use the CC3200 LaunchPad (with WiFi) and the newly introduced
MSP432 line (with it's focus on energy efficiency).

Thanks to Texas Instruments, we have a number of door prizes to raffle
at this meeting, including the new MSP432P401R LaunchPad, the SimpleLink
Wi-Fi CC3100 BoosterPack, and TI's new Multi-standard SensorTag.
