[Discuss] [Position-available] Hiring - Systems Administrator – Linux, VMWare, Tomcat, Cloud

*Systems Administrator ? Linux, VMWare, Tomcat, Cloud*

This is an outstanding opportunity for the seasoned systems administrator
to work with the latest technology on a daily basis across many platforms
and environments. In this multifaceted role you will design, build and
administer systems and tools for our data warehousing, engineering,
testing, cloud, virtualized and corporate environments. Deep knowledge
with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), VMware, Tomcat, MySQL / Postgres / NoSQL,
network architecture (VPN, firewalls, routers, load balancing etc.), cloud
hosting, storage and/or security will give you the foundation needed to
succeed. Additional experience building automation software for systems
(Chef / Puppet / Python), and experience with configuration management and
DevOps will push your resume to the top. We have added significantly to
our staff this year and have an aggressive project roadmap for the future
so this is a great opportunity to design new products and systems from the
ground up and not have to deal with a lot of legacy code. Our systems
serve up millions and millions of page views a day and you will play a
critical role in designing and administering scalable, high-availability
systems that will keep ahead of our rapid growth.

Based in our Boston office in the Seaport / Innovation District (Farnsworth
Street) you will have the opportunity to expand your skill set and have a
high level of autonomy in our relaxed but innovative environment. Our
engineering team is a group of life-long learners that is not married to a
particular technology, methodology or job description, instead we encourage
innovation, exploring the latest technology for elegant, efficient
solutions, and tackling and solving all technical challenges. If this
sounds like an environment and role in which you would thrive then please
submit your resume for consideration. A complete HR job description will
be forwarded to qualified candidates.
