[Discuss] GNU/Linux Distro for Mac?

Because both FreeBSD and Mac OS X are UNIX, and because it's easier to
type "Unix" than it is to type "FreeBSD and Mac OS X". And because "Unix
desktop" is inclusive of the desktops available with most Linux
distributions.

I claim that they are wrong. No such difference exists. Gnome on a
FreeBSD kernel and a FreeBSD user space is a FreeBSD desktop. Aqua on a
FreeBSD (plus Mach) kernel and a FreeBSD user space is a FreeBSD desktop.

But let's assume for the sake of argument that I am completely blind and
I can't see the difference between the two. Please explain it in simple
words.
