[Discuss] Gmail in Europe

I apologize for being off topic, but I hope that someone in this elite
group will answer a question about gmail access in northern Europe.  My
wife and daughter are vacationing in Riga, Latvia.  Neither one of them can
log into their gmail accounts. I can understand a why my wife cannot log on
but my daughter is fairly computer savvy.  Does anyone have suggestions.
I searched Google for similar problems but I do not find help.
