[Discuss] FOSS email that doesn't suck -- does such a thing exist?

By "elegant" I mean neat and tidy. Being pretty and shiny aren't necessary. 
Tidiness and consistency are.

Mutt is not my answer. I tried getting my head around how Mutt handles mail 
quite a ways back. I failed. It was just different enough from Elm (which I 
had been using) to be bothersome.
