The Kiva Product IT team designs, configures and maintains the fault-tolerant and scalable servers, pc's and network infrastructure that Kiva's material handling software application resides on. The application includes a high- performance, real-time database and is used for the control of semi-autonomous mobile robotic vehicles.

For our growing team, Kiva is seeking a talented and motivated Product IT Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years' experience with progressive day to day network (wired and wireless) and server support experience in a Red Hat or Centos linux-based enterprise environment.    This position reports to the Director of Product IT.

As a Kiva Product IT Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

1         Providing 3rd level support for Kiva's Client Support team.
2         Validating the interoperability of PC, peripheral, server and network infrastructure, firmware, hardware, operating system and 3rd party applications, with Kiva's Material Handling System.
3         Testing and qualifying vendor firmware releases and operating system updates on various hardware platforms.
4         Creating and tracking defects found during testing using a defect-tracking system (JIRA)
5         Providing detailed defect reports containing all information required by the development team to reproduce and diagnose the problem.
6         Verifying bug fixes and regression testing new releases of Kiva infrastructure.
7         Maintaining field deployed servers and network systems.
Qualifications:

1        BS or MS Degree in CS/EE or equivalent

2        5-10 years' experience with progressive day to day technical network (wired and wireless) and linux server support experience in an enterprise environment is required

3        Strong troubleshooting skills

4        Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Jython, Python, Bash)

5        Strong RedHat/CentOS Linux operating system knowledge and experience required

6        Understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and SQL querying tools

7        Experience with wired and wireless networks configuration and monitoring

8        Ability to read and analyze packet captures

9        IBM Bladecenter experience a plus

10    Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously

11    Excellent customer service skills as well as written and communication skills

12    Ability to work off hours as required.  Travel up to 25% (domestic, and possibly international)
