In the Obi UI? It makes no reference to XMPP. Even the device's built-in
web UI, which gets rather technical, hides the involvement of XMPP. The
only references you'll find are to Google Voice, and I think even that
doesn't appear in the local device's UI.

They have guides on their site and there are several videos on YouTube
instructing on the steps to set up GV with the Obi.
