I bought a D-Link DIR-644 several years ago, and I've never had to
reboot it. The newer versions support Gigabit ethernet (I think mine
does also). My last Linksys died after about a year. My D-Link sits on
the ground floor of my home, and the signal is usable all over the
house. Unobstructed placement should let you surf from the back yard
while feeding mosquitoes.
