[Discuss] iPhone vs. Android - the backup problem

It's not a backup/recovery option.  Apple does not permit iOS 
applications to access ANYTHING outside if their own private sandboxes. 
  Anything that escapes either never gets into the store or gets yanked 
upon discovery.  If you have an iOS device then you must use iTunes. 
It's mandatory.  That's the iOS experience.
