What do you want to accomplish?  I recently learned that certain Amazon
micro instances are free if your usage is below a certain threshold and you
meet some other criteria.  A micro instance is something like 8G hard drive
and 640M ram and 1-2 cpu units.  More than enough to host some webpages, and
various other tasks.  This is how I host nedharvey.com right now, and some
other domains.
