[Discuss] How do you deal with domain transfer problems?

Have you ran some searches to see if this is a chronic problem with
GoDaddy? (It wouldn't surprise me to hear that it was.)

One obvious thing to try is to do a transfer to a different registrar to
eliminate HostGator from the equation. Although it would seem the
problem is far more likely on the GoDaddy side, if this works, it'll
cost you $10, or whatever the annual fee is, and then you can transfer
it over to HostGator, once the waiting period has expired.

If it doesn't, perhaps the alternate registrar will be better at
troubleshooting the problem, and maybe even have inside contacts at
GoDaddy to help resolve the problem. Pick a registrar that specializes
in registrations, rather than a high-volume hosting company that does
registration as an add-on business.
