Diagnosing connection issue

Ubuntu's LXDE defaults, also loads in the CPU Usage Monitor. I have yet to see that monitor display green all the way to the top, which would indicate 100% CPU usage.

When the problem occurred, the monitor displayed very little green, meaning there was plenty of CPU power remaining.

On the Linux side, the item in the config files relating to IPv6 DNS lookups for both Firefox and SeaMonkey, is set to true - IPv6 DNS lookups are disabled.

I've seen it on my quad-core Opteron.
