Android and Linux

I don't. I've used an iPod Touch for the past three years. The "Gold Standard" for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch is "do it the Apple way, period." While that has been sufficient to meet my needs it doesn't meet everyone's.

When looking at Android you need to get away from the "sync with the desktop" mindset. Android doesn't sync with the desktop. At. All. So any comparison to iTunes sync with iPhone will doom Android.

Android is designed to sync to the Google cloud. I've had my Droid Incredible for a bit over a week and it's been solid in this role, picking up my contacts immediately and keeping them synced in near real time. Same for calendars and Google Voice. It could do my mail as well but I have that turned off.
