duplicting a CD

I just did it and it worked fine for me....

the cd (not dvd) was mounted on /dev/hda on my system. So here is what I
did.

Logged in as root.
umount /dev/hda
dd if=/dev/hda of=CopyOfCD.iso bs=1024
scp CopyOfCD.iso adler at localhost:Desktop/
eject /dev/hda

Next I took a fresh CD read to be burned and put it into my CD/DVD writer.
From my desktop I right clicked on the CopyOfCD.iso file and clicked on
the burn to cd menu item. I then let the system burn the cd from the
.iso file I created.

I was able to boot off the CD when it was created.

I'm running red hat enterprise linux 5. But I'm sure the same procedure
will work with any of the later fedora core systems.

Cheers. Steve.
