Anyone using Ubuntu 9.04?

This is an upstream change by the Xorg crowd.  Ctrl-Alt-Backspace 
apparently conflicts with some Emacs keybinding.

It's in Fedora 11 as well.  You should read the release notes; Ubuntu 
gives you a simple way to re-enable it:
