cpu, memory, bandwidth monitor applet

I'm a big fan of cygwin - http://www.cygwin.com (offered by Redhat.com).

After you have downloaded and installed the tools (I usually place them in 
c:\cygwin), simply update the system path to reflect c:\cygwin\bin and you 
have UNIX-like environment to use - whether you invoke the cygwin bash 
shell, or simply use the tools via a cmd.exe shell.

I think it includes a top application.   Cygwin can also give you the 
chance to compile an app if you get the source code.
