Comcast/Mythtv (OT?)



I looked at my online bill and did not see it.
I don't think that any of these companies want to provide all 3 signals=20
in that it is a waste of bandwidth, and considering there are more HD=20
channels becoming available they are having to find more aggressive and=20
efficient compression schemes. Satellite TV systems have a PR advantage=20
in that their customers all use set-top boxes and they have never used=20
analog.

While I have not kept up with it, the cable companies are also under=20
pressure to open up so people can use their existing digital TVs directly=
=2E
