Virtualizing Windows on Ubuntu

I looked up my old email from back then, and it turns out
we never actually got an answer from Microsoft.

The engineer's department manager decided that the cost
of the XP license was less than the cost of the employee
time and effort it would take to get a definitive answer,
and the lowered risk justified the expense.

So basically, FUD won in the end.
