Re: NFS disconnects



 Wireshark can help you diagnose it (from the server or the client, client is 
probably best in your situation assuming it is a CLIENT incompatibility and 
not an issue on the server), assuming you're willing to do some research. 
You can run it on Linux and OS X. 

Also try looking through the server/client logs.

When you look through the server log, look for a string that says: "lockd: 
bad cookie size 20 (only cookies under 8 bytes are supported.)"

Lastly, here's a patch for a 2.4 kernel where someone attempted to make 
locking work for OS X clients.
