Just one other thing. I also think that Fedora and OpenSuSE also have 
the incorrect strategies in that their updates leave only 1 kernel. My 
personal preference is always to have a known good kernel. Before 
modularization, I would always keep the generic monolithic kernel that 
is known to work. So, at least, IMHO, OpenSuSE and Fedora should retain 
at least the previous kernel.
