Revealing Errors: How We Can Use Errors to Advocate for Software Freedom and Openness

An interesting Windows Xp security issue that I have been having on my
work laptop. Last night, I logged off Windows because Wednesday nights
corporate likes to perform maintenance on systems. In any case, when I
came in this morning, it had not logged me off, it was hanging on
acroread. Apparently whenever you access a PDF through a browser,
acroread.exe remains in the process table. It is this acroread process
that prevents the logout. It's a pain for me, because I quickly log
out, and then switch my KVM to my Linux workstation.
