Yea, that's well known. 

My point is if they're going to try to claim that they're giving me a 
$60 value that I can't use, then they owe me the $60 to find a 
solution that does work in my favor. 

No, I'm not holding my breath. 

However, a number of people did get the $110 refund for the unused 
MS-Windows disks that came with their systems.
