Because it sends useless email once a month, with a completely
insecure password? And the administration is web-based?

ezmlm-idx is great, except that nobody can pronounce it and it
doesn't have a web-based administration system that slows
everything down. OK, so ezmlm-idx is great. So is Enemies of
Carlotta, which is basically a rewritten ezmlm-idx.
