I'm still only part way through this thread. 

This thread serves as a good warning about Verizon. I guess it's OK as an   
ISP for the clueless and those who refuse to think. At times I wonder why   
I pay a lot for Speakeasy ADSL, and then threads such as this bring me   
back to my senses. Speakeasy is very geek-friendly, as I must have said   
some time back; I'll skip details. 

One wonders what sort of support a FiOS customer would get.
