You have to monkey around a bit in Open Firmware to boot the PPC Macs with
NetBSD.

Find your model here:

http://www.netbsd.org/ports/macppc/models.html

Check to see if there are any particular footnotes for the model.

The basic Open Firmware info is here:

http://www.netbsd.org/ports/macppc/SystemDisk-tutorial/

The FAQ has some relevant info as well:

http://www.netbsd.org/ports/macppc/faq.html#boot-trouble

You can google for 'netbsd macppc boot cd' and get a bunch of hits from the
mailing list. I installed Netbsd on a blue & white Yosemite a few years ago.
Once you get past the booting stage, it's a fairly straightforward install.
