browser questions

I primarily use Firefox, but my question might be a bit generic.=20
I have popups blocked, but in some cases some new windows are created,
primarily from some of the legitimate advertising sites, such as
zedo.com, flastclick.com, and a few others. Is there a hack either in
the prefs.js file (or about:config) where I can block these sites. They
are not dangerous, just a pain. I certainly could block these in the
firewall on Linux, but I'd rather not block them at that level.
