Any comment on Asterisk?

At one point a friend of mine had Asterisk running on a 40-Mhz Mac :-) 
We had it setup to spoof phone caller ID and pretend we were calling 
from different people who knew each other.  It is a very good social 
engineering trick...because everybody trusts caller ID :-)
