Upgrading from RHEL5 32 to 64-bit?

To check current kernel:
$ uname -m

You can also scan the /usr/lib* dirs for both 32 and 64 bit libraries if 
you are accessing a file system directly...

On RHEL, 64-bit is a superset of 32-bit, all libs inclusive.  I am 
unsure how you would upgrade to 64-bit, but possibly installing the 
64-bit kernel may do it.  Actually, I have never done that before, so it 
would be interesting to hear how you solve it...
