Need mysql.so for Debian Sarge and PHP5

I just this morning solved that problem on my ubuntu system.  I
believe the magic word on ubuntu was:

apt-get install php5-mysql

and then you have to restart apache2, which I didn't do at first.  

The instructions I was using also said to edit
/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini to uncomment the " extension=msql.so" line.
I may have already done that in some previous struggle.
