Well, that's too bad.  I found it interesting  (and  a  bit
unusual)  that  people  would  comment  on such things in a
public tech forum.  It can be difficult to find  reasonable
discussions  on such topics, since in the more public fora,
they tend to dissolve into flamefests  and  invocations  of
Godwin's Law rather quickly.

Actually, some of the best discussions I've  read  on  this
topic  have  been  in sci-fi forums.  Not too surprising, I
suppose, but an interesting phenomenon.
