Our client is the world leader in digital nonlinear media creation, 
management and distribution solutions, enabling film, video, audio, 
animation, games, and broadcast news professionals to work more
efficiently, productively, and creatively.

We looking for a talented individual to join our platform engineering
team. Your responsibilities will include adding Linux client support to
our high speed, real-time Media Network shared storage system.

The ideal candidate will be a principal level engineer with a strong 
background in Linux kernel development; file system development
experience is a plus. The candidate must have a track record of
delivering complex software solutions based on their own estimates. The
position requires a strong team player that can move fast and adjust to
change in a complex and agile development environment.

Required Skills:
? Strong knowledge of Linux kernel development
? Programming with real-time constraints
? Fluency in C and C++, with strong problem-solving skills
? Thorough understanding of Linux file systems (ext3, NFS, and etc
)
? BS degree in Electrical engineering, computer science, computer 
engineering or related field
? 6+ years software engineering and development experience on a Linux 
platform.
? Must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and have
strong organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly.
? Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communications 
skills
? Excellent inter-personal skills are required
? Ability to respond effectively and urgently to issues arising from
support and sustaining of the existing products and applications
? Knowledge of kernel configuration and build, packaging, install and 
initial system bring up including boot loading is desirable
