HELP: FC6 kernel on CentOS 4.4 breaks things

It sounds like what you're trying to do is difficult and messy, and it
could easily take 2-3 weeks or more to get it to work. Waiting for
CentOS-5 may be quicker than fighting to sort out the mess you
describe.
