You have a few options:

1) Read this for unsupported codecs from third-parties:
http://www.fedorafaq.org/

2) install VLC, which doesn't need codecs, unlike totem/gstreamer crap

3) Use Ubuntu, which stores most codecs on their own servers, unlike
Fedora.  This is a political and legal issue you are encountering
