An odd DNS conundrum?

John's right.  The HOSTNAME line should have your FQDN.  You might want to
delete the DOMAINNAME line too.

> 	DOMAINNAME=example.com
> 	NISDOMAIN=nis.example.com
> 	NETWORKING_IPV6=no
