Linux access to MS Access Database? [re-inserted dropped words]

I have a user running Fedora Core 4 and needs to use an MS Access database
living on a mounted CIFS share. What program/method do people recommend
to help the person utilize the database?

I tried installing a newer version of OpenOffice, but that failed, so I'm
looking for other ideas.

The person will be getting a new computer soon, but I don't yet know the OS
requirements.

Thanks for leads/ideas..

Scott
