NIS question

That is the port number. It is a parameter in ypserv.conf and securenet.
I don't think it applies to user ids and groups. The group name shows up 
correctly eventhough that group is not in the local group file. 

As I mentioned, the problem is just one of the minor annoyances of setting 
up something for the first time.
