Solaris to Linux porting project



Our client in MA (QUALIFIED candidates only please) has a new project in
which they are porting new OO technology written in Solaris to a Linux
based platform. We need a lead and several engineers after the lead is
hired. 

Job description: 
A lead engineer and several sr level engineers needed to porting some
new OO technology written for a Solaris platform to their Linux based
platform. The code will need to be modified to run on multiple
platforms, both Solaris and Linux. 
The work requires proven experience in being able to port a telecom
application from Solaris with the intent of making it multi-platform on
Solaris/Linux (Uni-platform port from Solaris to multi-platform support
on Solaris/Linux) 
* Porting of telecom applications on highly-available, distributed
systems (platform level experience...drivers, kernel, etc) 
* Understanding of nuances between 32 bit vs 64 bit architecture
