Problems syncing my Palm with Linux

I was having similar problems with a Tungsten E and used
dev/ttyUSB1 in jpilot -> preferences -> Settings -> serial port
and it worked. I think that It was necessary to add line
visor
to /etc/modules.
I do not know the command to invoke init.d to reload modules so I
rebooted the computer
I think that you need to press the Palm hot sync first to enable the
USB connection.
I am running Debian Sarge and using jpilot 0.99-8.
I hope this helps. I will be glad to look into other config files if
that doesn''t work. I just got the thing running this week so I don't
know much. I have been busy with other work.
