hosted Gmail beta begins

How did you manage to get the beta Gmail service as an MX? I would love
to move my mail server to their system just so I don't have to maintain it
anymore and save a little on my electricity bill.

Also, as a side note, if Gmail could add some calendaring function, like
MS Exchange, that would work with push technology from the blackberry, I
would no longer have to rely on my company's Exchange server just to use
my blackberry (yes, there is a non-corporate version, but it requires I
leave my computer on and assumes my internet connection never goes down.)
Does anyone know why no one has bothered to implement this? Perhaps in
OpenExchange? I just seems to me that RIM is limiting themselves by using
only Exchange servers....
