I haven't yet but anyone interested in it should check out 
http://www.linuxbios.org. BTW - I read that Intel is moving away from 
the traditional BIOS with a new system called EFI (Extensible Firmware 
Interface).  In fact, the Apple Intel-based Macs use it.
