BNUG monthly 9/13 - Donald Becker



Please note that Donald Becker, not only is the co-founder of beowulf,
but has written a number of drivers we use in Linux.

This month, Donald Becker of Penguin Computing, will be presenting an 
overview of clustering technologies.

Excerpt from Don's Bio:

"Donald Becker is known throughout the international community of 
operating system developers for his contributions to networking 
software. In addition, Donald was a co-founder of the original Beowulf 
project, which is the cornerstone for commodity-based high-performance 
cluster computing. Donald's work in parallel and distributed computing 
began in 1983 at MIT's Real Time Systems group."

Please come to Mount Ida College's Carlson Hall on Tuesday, September
13 and learn about clustering from one of the co-founders of the
original Beowulf clustering project!

Refreshments are served from 6:30 pm. Meeting starts at 7:00pm with the 
technical presentation concluding at 9:00 pm.
