   This seems unlikely.  All of my legacy SCSI stuff works fine under 2.6.
   I'm not aware of any drivers being deprecated/removed in 2.6.

The Initio driver got dropped from 2.6.  Initio drivers used to be
relatively inexpensive SCSI controllers.
